The Catholic Foundation recently provided a grant to publish and maintain connecttocommunityresources.com. The website provides extensive resources (service provider contact information including website links) for people seeking help or assistance. The website provides information such as crisis hotlines, low-income assistance funding information, after-school youth program information, drug/alcohol abuse center information, and a listing of resources for veterans. This community resources has proven to be so helpful that the Pueblo County library system uses it as do various non-profit organizations and school systems.
In the spirit of Hope in the Gospel, and to continue the work of Jesus Christ, the Catholic Diocese of Pueblo Foundation promotes charitable giving, manages entrusted and disburses gifts throughout the Diocese.
The Catholic Foundation is an independent, nonprofit corporation that helps support a wide-range of needs throughout the Diocese of Pueblo. The Catholic Foundation was established in 1995 by Bishop Emeritus Arthur N. Tafoya with funds from the Seminarian Burse Endowment.
The Catholic Foundation expanded its mission and purpose in 2001. In an effort to touch more lives, a grant program was initiated. This program supports parishes, rural missions, Catholic schools and other Catholic organizations.
