Colorado Music Festival & Center for Musical Arts

A nonprofit organization

Your donation will help the Festival create positive impacts in our community, including:

Providing low- and no-cost tickets for youth, students, veterans, and seniors. For the first time since before the pandemic, concerts in 2023 sold out — not once, not twice, but four times! As a reflection of our big-hearted Boulder home and because of your support, those and future concerts will be enjoyed by many deserving people who otherwise could not attend.

Creating unforgettable opportunities to experience groundbreaking new music. In 2023 we commissioned three pieces which received their world premieres right here in Boulder. We were also honored to give the preview performance of Elements, written by some of today’s most sought-after composers and performed by Joshua Bell. Your support will allow us to continue to create these unique opportunities.

Elevating Boulder as a hub of arts and culture. This season the esteemed Wall Street Journal praised our orchestra. “Hearing this performance was like encountering an old friend with something new to say,” reported WSJ’s David Mermelstein. Such high-profile coverage benefits not only the Festival itself but our region as a whole, and would not be possible without your support.

Your donation allows the Center to continue to deliver on our commitment to building connection and community by:

Facilitating the important mentoring relationship between teacher and student. Our student-centered philosophy engages teaching artists who are committed to building strong, supportive relationships with each of their students. Your financial support ensures we can attract and retain a talented faculty.

Providing tuition assistance and instruments to more than 300 students in need. In keeping with our philosophy of offering music instruction to every student regardless of financial circumstance, we offer need-based tuition assistance and access to low or no-cost musical instrument rental.

Creating opportunities for members of our community to experience the joy of music. We offer programs so that all members of our community can experience the joy of music-making. Programs such as LifeSong Chorus, which provides connection, purpose, and joy for individuals with early-onset Alzheimer’s and their caregivers, would not exist without your support.
