C3 PTSA proudly supports Creativity Challenge Community (C3) K-5 Elementary School!

C3 fosters a learning environment that empowers students to think creatively, solve problems, learn in collaboration with local artistic, scientific and cultural partners, and challenge and care for each other to their highest potential as leaders and learners. C3 emphasizes independent learning in a collaborative setting to develop kind, courageous thinkers.

These funds directly support C3 programming that goes above-and-beyond district baselines. These items are fundamental for our innovative curriculum and allow teachers and staff to have every available tool to support each C3 student. PTSA fundraising helps bridge this gap by supporting programming provided by the staff positions listed below*:

Art & Music (District Baseline: 1.0 FTE, C3 Staff: 1.6 FTE)
- More opportunities to create, explore, and express themselves.
Full-Time Physical Education (District Baseline: 0.5 FTE, C3 Staff: 1.0 FTE)
- More support for active, healthy kids.
Gifted & Talented (District Baseline: 0.25 FTE, C3 Staff: 0.5 FTE)
- More opportunities for students to receive differentiated instruction.
Literacy Intervention (District Baseline: 0.0 FTE, C3 Staff: 0.5 FTE)
- Extra support to help students become confident readers.
Staff Leadership & Coaching (District Baseline: Varies** and is fractionally funded by DPS, 1.0 FTE for C3 2026-27, C3 Staff: 1.0 FTE)
- Supporting the teachers who support our kids.

Your donations help C3 thrive! A few examples include:

$5,000: Total provided as classroom grants for additional C3 classroom supplies or resources. To date, 2026-2027 grants have helped cover flexible seating, weighted blankets, fidgets, social-emotional curriculum, Orton-Gillingham curriculum, therapy dog certification, and more!
$4,000: Modernizes the classroom with a Newline interactive, all-in-one collaborative digital whiteboard
$3,500: Teacher & Staff Appreciation, including snacks for staff meetings, teacher appreciation week, and end-of-year staff party
$2,500: Annual Community Pancake Breakfast
$1,500: Annual Big Splash Pool Party
$1,500: Supplies for Triannual Curiosity Crews
$1,000: Volunteer Appreciation & Back to School Coffee Cart
$1,000: Whiteboard kidney table, combining the benefits of small-group instruction with the interactive, paper-saving versatility of a giant dry-erase board

$250: Ensures each student has a pair of working noise-cancelling headphones

Mission

The C3 PTSA mission is to support and advocate for every child in partnership with staff, families, and the community to create a safe and caring learning environment for all students to grow and feel confident as kind, courageous thinkers. We will build, engage, and empower our families and communities to make every child’s potential a reality.

Background Statement

The C3 PTSA began shortly after the inception of Creativity Challenge Community School (C3) in 2012. A group of parents envisioned this organization as a resource and partner to our school to help enhance each student's learning experience together. It is now an active presence in our school community with a focus on being a connector and support to our parents, teachers, staff, and most of all, our students. They are the heart of everything we do!
