Give the Gift of Reading
Help Support Dolly Parton's Imagination Library
Over 3,000 children under the age of five live in Broomfield, eager to explore the world of books. With the State of Colorado's Matching Funds, your contribution of $25 will give two children free books every month for a year—helping them build a love of reading that lasts a lifetime.
DOLLY PARTON’S IMAGINATION LIBRARY
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five, through funding shared by Dolly Parton, The State of Colorado and Broomfield Rotary.
How it Works
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library sends free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five – one book every month. With your support, and matching funds from the State of Colorado, Broomfield Rotary covers the full cost of these monthly books for local families (no fees to enroll). By helping us fund the program you make it possible for every child to build a personal library by the time they reach kindergarten.
- Free books mailed monthly to children ages 0–5
- No cost to families (all mailings and books fully sponsored)
- Managed locally by the Broomfield Rotary Club and the Broomfield Library

Why It Matters
Early access to books improves language skills, literacy, school readiness and lifelong learning by contrast, over 60% of low-income homes have no books at all, so your sponsorship helps close that literacy gap in our community. Every new book we mail out is an opportunity for a child to learn and dream.
By raising $25,000, we can offer the Imagination the Library program to all children under five in Broomfield. A mere $25/month will Give The Gift Reading to 10 additional children each year. Every child will receive a Monthly Book and Storytime with Mom and Dad.
