25+ Years of Compassionate Care

With a mission rooted in one family’s resolve to ease the burdens of others, Brent’s Place has spent the previous quarter-century providing a sanctuary of support to thousands of families navigating uncertain paths following the diagnosis of a life-threatening illness. 

Founders Donn and Linda Eley know this trek all too well. Following their beloved son’s diagnosis with a rare form of pediatric cancer, they left their home and community of support far behind in search of cutting-edge medical care in another state. After 162 days of treatment, thirteen-year-old Brent Eley passed away. He left behind a family who was heartbroken but committed to ensuring that Brent’s memory would never fade. 

Even amid their grief, the Eley family held firmly to their belief in the potent power of human potential: when you care about another’s plight, you can achieve remarkable healing outcomes. Driven to provide patient families with the essential support needed for total family healing during a time of medical turmoil, Brent’s Place was founded in their son’s honor in 1997. 

Since then, our community has risen time and again to prove the Eleys’ confidence in the capacity of humans to care for one another. With your support, Brent’s Place has grown dramatically - both in physical capacity and depth of service.
