Boulder Reporting Lab is the only independent, nonprofit newsroom dedicated solely to Boulder County. No hedge fund owners. No corporate chain. Our reporting is created by journalists who live here, know this place, and are committed to serving our community every single day.

We launched in late 2021 because Boulder needed reliable, nonpartisan local news to understand itself and and solve its challenges. Four years later, the need is greater than ever.

Your gift goes twice as far

From now through December 31, every donation to BRL will be matched dollar for dollar. A $50 gift becomes $100. A $250 gift becomes $500. Up to $1,000 will be matched per donor.
