Blue Sage Center for the Arts

A nonprofit organization

The Blue Sage seeks a future in which people of all ages and all segments of the community find education, entertainment, and community through Blue Sage programs, activities and gatherings.

Testimonials

The Blue Sage serves about 10,000 residents of the North Fork Valley annually through classes, events, gallery exhibits, venue rentals and arts outreach into local schools.

Mission

The mission of the Blue Sage Center for the Arts is to provide education and expression in the arts and humanities for the enrichment of the North Fork Valley and surrounding communities.

Background Statement

The Blue Sage began in 1994. It all started when 4 teachers (yoga/dance/aerobics) rented a storefront in Paonia. Over the past 20+ years, the Blue Sage has grown from a small community center to a comprehensive charitable organization serving the arts and humanities in the North Fork Valley. Today, the Blue Sage is recognized as the heart of the community's arts and humanities cultures. Thanks in part to the Blue Sage, the rural North Fork Valley gained Colorado State Creative District recognition in June 2013.
