Background Statement

For forty-five years, Blue Peaks Developmental Services has provided supports for persons with developmental disabilities in the unique environment of the San Luis Valley in southern Colorado. Founded in 1970 by a group of progressive parents and concerned local citizens, Blue Peaks has been a consistent advocate of community integrated services and community partnerships for the people we serve. The services and supports provided by Blue Peaks optimize the advantages of a rural environment in which community connections are routine and long term.
