Background Statement
Blossoming Trees to Empower Communities (BTEC) was founded with a vision to uplift Muslim immigrants, Arabs and refugees in Colorado, helping them reach their full potential and nurture strong, healthy families. Many of these families arrive with incredible skills, resilience, and dreams for their families but face daunting challenges, including language barriers, cultural transitions, and a lack of supportive networks.
At BTEC, we offer culturally sensitive programs that empower families to take charge of their personal growth and family well-being. From parenting workshops like the Incredible Years program to hands-on English and digital literacy training, we provide programs to build confidence, navigate the new life, and achieve their goals. Our programs foster self-reliance while building community connections, enabling families to thrive and create nurturing environments for their children.
Through our work, women like Asia—a dentist rebuilding her career in a new country—find opportunities for professional growth, personal support, and community belonging. With these tools, they become role models for their families, leaders in their communities, and contributors to a stronger society.
Your support is key to this transformation. Together, we can expand our programs, provide childcare for participants, and help more women break through barriers to success. By investing in these families, we’re not just empowering individuals—we’re strengthening communities and laying the foundation for healthier, more connected society.
Join us in growing potential and fostering healthy families—one family at a time.
