Black Ops Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Arvada, Colorado, dedicated to creating meaningful, lifelong connections between homeless pets and veterans across Colorado’s Front Range.

We provide highly personalized, completely free adoption services to eligible veterans and active-duty service members. Black Ops Rescue covers adoption fees, essential supplies, veterinary and medical care, and ongoing training support to help ensure each placement is successful and sustainable.

Through partnerships with local animal rescues and shelters, we help homeless pets find loving, permanent homes while providing veterans with the companionship, connection, and sense of purpose that can come from the human-animal bond.

At Black Ops Rescue, we believe that when the right veteran meets the right pet, two lives can be changed forever.

Mission

At Black Ops Rescue, our mission is to unite veterans with shelter pets to create lifelong bonds built on mutual hope, companionship, and healing.

Through compassionate assessment, carefully matched adoptions, and ongoing support, we are committed to transforming the lives of both veterans and rescue animals. Every placement is thoughtfully designed around the unique needs, circumstances, and compatibility of the veteran and the pet.

We believe that meaningful companionship can provide connection, purpose, and unconditional support, while giving shelter pets the loving, stable homes they deserve. Every match has the potential to change two lives forever.

Background Statement

Black Ops Rescue was founded in 2018 to serve two deserving communities: veterans and homeless pets.

We believe that pets are medicine — that the healing power of unconditional love and companionship can truly transform lives. Our mission is to connect rescue pets with veterans, creating partnerships built on trust, loyalty, and mutual healing.

At no cost to our veterans, we provide everything needed for a successful match — including adoption fees, supplies, medical care, and training. Our commitment doesn’t end with the adoption; we maintain a relationship with each veteran for the lifetime of the pet, offering ongoing support and assistance whenever it’s needed.

Together, we’re saving two lives at a time — one veteran, one shelter/rescue pet. ❤️
