Black Ops Rescue is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in Arvada, Colorado, dedicated to pairing homeless pets with veterans in need across the Front Range. We provide highly personalized, completely free adoptions for veterans and active-duty service members — covering all adoption fees, supplies, medical care, and ongoing training support. By partnering with local rescues and shelters, we help pets in need find loving homes while giving veterans the healing power of companionship and purpose.
At Black Ops Rescue, our mission is simple yet powerful: uniting veterans with shelter pets to create a lifelong bond of mutual hope and healing. Through compassionate assessment, compatible adoptions, and ongoing support, we work to transform the lives of both veterans and rescue animals. Every match we make is built on understanding, purpose, and care — ensuring that each veteran finds the companionship they deserve, and every shelter pet discovers the loving home they’ve been waiting for.
Black Ops Rescue was founded in 2018 to serve two deserving communities: veterans and homeless pets.
We believe that pets are medicine — that the healing power of unconditional love and companionship can truly transform lives. Our mission is to connect rescue pets with veterans, creating partnerships built on trust, loyalty, and mutual healing.
At no cost to our veterans, we provide everything needed for a successful match — including adoption fees, supplies, medical care, and training. Our commitment doesn’t end with the adoption; we maintain a relationship with each veteran for the lifetime of the pet, offering ongoing support and assistance whenever it’s needed.
