InReach

A nonprofit organization

Did you know 1 in 4 people are impacted by a significant emotional illness? This means we all have either suffered from the devastating impact of these disorders or know a family member or a close friend who has. At InReach, we not only treat mental illness, we work hard to prevent it from happening. We believe through our early prevention and intervention programs and our understanding of brain science we can drastically decrease the impact of mental illness.

Testimonials

"You have changed the trajectory of my relationship with my child. I did not know how to interact with her and she did not want to come to me or interact with me. Now we have a great relationship."
-A father who participated in our Parenting for Excellence" Class.

"InReach saved my life and the life of my child. I was suicidal when I started counseling. Now I am happy, I am able to work, and I am able to be a good wife and a good mom."

Background Statement

InReach (formerly The Boulder Institute for Psychotherapy and Research-BIPR) was founded in 1999 by a group of experienced and respected mental health professionals to promote the healthy psychological development of children, adults and the community by providing affordable mental health services, community education, professional training, consultation and research to the Boulder County community. Basing its approach on the brain research of the last twenty years, BIPR's primary focus is to address the enduring consequences of trauma, neglect and biologically based conditions on individuals and the larger community. The organization received its 501(C)(3) status in 2000. Since its inception, BIPR has provided low or reduced fee mental health services, including assessment, testing, and consultation, to a diverse population of adults, children, adolescents and families.
