Mem Global's mission is to provide vibrant Jewish community for young adults by supporting leaders in their 20s as they create meaningful home-based Jewish experiences for themselves and their peers.

Mem Global’s (MG) work spans to nearly 30 countries and makes Jewish community accessible, relevant and appealing to Jewish young adults around the world.  Since its founding in 2006, MG has become the global leader in providing peer-led Jewish opportunities for young adults, pioneering a new path for the next generation of emerging leaders and active community members.

With an expansive reach and depth of pluralistic Jewish programming, MG is effecting change on the ground, providing more than 12,000 programs and engaging 70,000+ unique participants annually during a typical year, at a fraction of the cost of less innovative modes of engagement. Through a wide network of programmatic offerings, detailed further below, MG offers Jewish young adults a plethora of low-barrier opportunities for connection, including for those who have not previously been engaged in Jewish life.

All funds raised during Colorado Jewish Days of Giving  will support Mem Global's local programs, including the Backcountry Bayit-Moishe House Frisco (a partnership program), Base Denver, Moishe House Denver, Moishe House Boulder, and the Moishe Pod - City Park .

Mission

To provide vibrant Jewish community, learning and leadership for young adults in their 20s and early 30s by supporting them as they create and actively engage in meaningful Jewish experiences for themselves and their peers.

Background Statement

At Mem Global, we believe that building Jewish community starts with the leaders and participants who shape it. This investment in young adults has been part of our story since 2006, when a group of recent college graduates, caught between being too old for campus programs and too young for the existing institutional offerings, created their own space for Jewish life. With initial support from philanthropist Morris Squire, David Cygielman – now Mem Global’s CEO – and friends hosted their first Shabbat dinner in the Bay Area. To all of their excitement, 73 young adults showed up to celebrate Shabbat and be together, as part of the Jewish community.

What began as one Shabbat dinner grew into the first Moishe House. The concept was simple: a group of post-college Jewish young adults, living together in a house, hosting Jewish programs for their friends and community. That one house sparked a movement, spreading across cities, countries, and continents, to become a global network of young adults hosting thousands of Jewish experiences every year, each as unique as the communities they serve.

Today, as Mem Global, we continue the vision of that first house while expanding our reach and deepening our impact. Through our global suite of programs, we provide Jewish young adults with opportunities to connect, learn, and lead in ways that are meaningful to them. Ultimately, supporting and creating a strong Jewish community for the future.

In 2025, Moishe House introduced Mem Global, the parent organization uniting our suite of peer-driven programs and continuing our mission of supporting Jewish young adults to connect, learn, and lead in ways that are meaningful, authentic, and unmistakably theirs. Today, Moishe Houses, Moishe Pods, Moishe House Without Walls, Mem Global Retreats Learning Retreats, Retreatology, the Jewish Learning Collaborative, Embark, Base and Camp Nai Nai Nai can all be found within the Mem Global family.
