This is the essence of Boys Hope Girls Hope. Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado empowers motivated at-risk youth to become educated, career-ready individuals. We tackle the opportunity gap for these young people as they enter high school by offering academic and personal support, fostering meaningful relationships, and equipping them with life and career skills.
Our mission is to continue supporting these underserved, first-generation students from high school through their first career.

Hope Ignites Colorado nurtures and guides motivated young people in need to become well-educated, career-ready men and women for others
Hope Ignites founded in 1977 in St. Louis, MO to address the number of young lives being extinguished by negative factors: underfunded schools; families distressed by poverty; and neighborhoods shattered by drugs and violence. Hope Ignites Colorado is a bridge to opportunity, providing youth with a sense of belonging, college-preparatory education, life skills, scholarships, and internship opportunities.
In 1993, Hope Ignites Colorado established residential programming, providing a safe home-like environment for 8 boys in metro Denver.
In 2010, Hope Ignites Colorado opened a Girls Hope home for 5 girls in metro Denver.
In 2013, Hope Ignites Colorado created the Academy program at Aurora Central HS to engage more youth and provide more opportunities to those in metro Denver.
In August 2018, Hope Ignites Colorado moved to all Academy programming, selling both homes to address the increased need for and continued success of Hope Ignites Colorado’s Academy, a college-prep program.
As of 2025, Hope Ignites Colorado has over 135 scholars and collegians annually working towards their dreams of college graduation.
