Atlas Schools

Atlas Schools, located in Southeast Colorado Springs, is a K-12 charter school committed to empowering students and breaking the cycle of poverty in our community. Initially focused on a college-for-all model, we now empower students to pursue a variety of post-graduation paths, whether that be higher education, apprenticeships, military service, or direct entry into the workforce. Our dedication to educational excellence, character development, and community engagement is at the core of our efforts to create long-term, sustainable improvements in the lives of our students and their families.

Serving approximately 1,240 students each day, we provide extended classroom time, differentiated instruction, and tailored support, particularly for those struggling with core subjects. Our student body reflects the rich diversity of our community, with 91.5% qualifying for free or reduced lunch, 92% identifying as racial or ethnic minorities, and over 50% being English Language Learners. 

Our impact extends well beyond academics. Through our Wellness Programs, we emphasize mental and physical well-being, offering robust counseling services, social-emotional learning, and extracurricular activities. Additionally, we offer comprehensive Post-Secondary Programs that prepare students for life beyond high school, including resume workshops, mock interviews, and personalized guidance on future career or educational pathways. We also partner with families and local organizations to create a supportive environment that reduces barriers to education. This includes offering free bus transportation, school supplies, an on-site food pantry, and nearly year-round extracurricular activities.
