We are a voice for people of the upper Arkansas River valley who support a vision of a cleaner, more independent, lower cost energy future.
We advocate for powering the upper Arkansas valley with more local, clean energy and storage to increase energy independence, improve grid resiliency, boost our local economies, and protect our environment for future generations.
Ark Valley Energy Future was formed in 2022 as a voice for members of the Sangre de Cristo Electric Association who advocate for cleaner, local, lower cost energy. The volunteer-driven non-profit organization educates electric cooperative members about energy efficiency, renewable energy, generation and transmission issues, and cooperative board positions and actions that affect their energy consumption and costs.
