$60,000 Goal

At Arboretum, we believe the future we want to live in isn’t far off. It’s already growing. And Allie’s story is proof.

When Allie, a twenty-six year old from Haiti, moved to the U.S., she dreamed of becoming a CNA. She joined Arboretum’s apprenticeship program just a few months later, ready to work, but unsure how to take her next step.

Throughout the program, she practiced English with her mentor, learning the vocabulary and confidence she needed to pursue her dream.

Then, just two weeks before graduation, Allie lost her work authorization. She suddenly couldn’t work and didn’t know what would happen next. But she didn’t give up.

A donor stepped in to fund her CNA class. She studied hard, passed her certification exam, and this fall, with her authorization reinstated, she started a full-time healthcare job with benefits.

“Arboretum kept me going and got me here. I am so thankful. They are family.” — Allie

Her story is one of resilience, yes, but more than that, it’s a story about what blooms when someone is supported, seen, and believed in.

And she’s not the only one.

At Arboretum, immigrants walk through our doors unsure and unseen. They leave with something more: a new sense of identity as leaders, contributors, culture-makers, business owners, and mentors. They don’t just gain jobs. They grow roots.

Arboretum Coffee offers something rare: a living, breathing vision of the future we want to see already underway. We are building a future where immigrants aren’t criminalized or cast out, but welcomed, supported, and empowered to lead, celebrated as leaders and culture-makers.

While others respond to crisis (and we’re so grateful they do), Arboretum quietly plants gardens. While others react to systems breaking down, we build new systems rooted in dignity, opportunity, and care.

We’re proof that a different way is possible.

But right now, we have a growing waitlist of people ready to begin this journey. We can’t say yes to them, not without your help.

That’s why we’re raising $60,000 by December 31 to expand this work in 2026:

🌿 To open more doors

🌿 To say yes to more futures

🌿 To keep building systems of belonging, one shift, one story, one bloom at a time

You’re not giving to a problem. You’re co-creating a future already in bloom.

🎯 Give by December 31 to help us meet our $60,000 goal and say yes to the next Allie.
