"This was our first Alpenglow Festival, and we will definitely attend more concerts next season! The Soiree evening was an absolute delight, the music was just wonderful and the insights from Jesse, Rieko and Derek were so interesting. And I think that the food and wine was as good as you'd find in any restaurant in the county".
"I have enjoyed the Alpenglow concerts for the past few years, the diversity of the music is so special, even though I attend many large orchestral concerts in various cities, these are truly special and unlike any other classical concert".
"It was an evening with incredible music by such talented musicians. We are so lucky to have this superb talent come to our small community and perform."
Alpenglow Chamber Music Festivals, Inc. is an active 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization that is dedicated to improving the quality of life and enhancing the cultural life for residents and guests of Summit County and Colorado by providing quality performance of chamber music performed by nationally and internationally acclaimed musical artists and promoting appreciation of chamber music through education, outreach and audience development. We offer access for concerts with affordable prices, develop the artistic and technical proficiency of our students, and encourage local music students with scholarship awards.
Alpenglow Chamber Music Festivals began in 1998 and is now in its 28th season! The Artistic Directors, Rieko Aizawa, piano, and Jesse Mills, violin, curate music in the most creative and enjoyable way - celebrating something familiar and essential, while introducing something new and surprising; such as new contemporary compositions and rarely performed works.
Our 2024 Alpenglow Chamber Music Festival was a triumph! Our four dynamic performances featured French music including Saint-Saëns, Ravel and Boulanger; the dramatic Bohemian composer, Smetana (to celebrate his 200th birthday); an innovative collaboration of bassoon and piano trio (ensemble-in-residence, the Horszowski Trio), a Saxophone Quintet by Zwilich plus numerous classics from Beethoven, Brahms, and more.
Music is a universal language through which people of all ages and backgrounds can connect and feel a full range of emotions together. Please join us on our musical journey!
