AdvanceEDU is a nonprofit college and career accelerator founded in 2020 by Colorado business and education leaders to close equity gaps and expand economic mobility in Colorado. We provide a seamless, hybrid backbone of support that spans critical transitions in education and career.
Providing an innovative, accessible, supported, and career-connected postsecondary model, AdvanceEDU places an emphasis on first-generation and underrepresented students. AdvanceEDU exists to help students who face barriers and typically do not have the privilege to be full-time students.
AdvanceEDU delivers the following services:
(1) flexible, affordable degrees with stackable credentials from partnering universities, including CSU Global and Colorado Community College System;
(2) need-based scholarship and financial aid assistance;
(3) an in-person co-learning community in Denver with in-person supports also available in Colorado Springs and Pueblo;
(4) intensive success coaching and wraparound support;
(5) career supports from day one, including earn-and-learn opportunities from partnering employers.
To support college students in innovative, affordable paths to in-demand careers and financial freedom
Our aim is to serve 2,000 students in the next 5 years and help close equity gaps related to race and income for college completion and early career placement in Colorado.
So far, we have served more than 400 learners, of which:
•80% are from low-income households
•86% are first-generation college students (will be first in their nuclear family to graduate from college)
•82% are students of color
•72% are working
•40% are caregiving
