Adeo Colorado

A nonprofit organization

Adeo is Northern Colorado’s only residential facility entirely dedicated to comprehensive, specialized care for survivors of brain injury. Our approach stands apart because we prioritize interdependence and authentic community-building. We embrace our Four Pillars:

  • Person-Centeredness
    • Adeo follows a person-centered philosophy that places the individual at the heart of our care approach. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of each resident while deeply respecting their unique values, preferences, and aspirations. Our services are tailored to each client's specific needs, fostering an environment where their desires and goals take priority. We believe that truly listening to the individuals we serve is vital.
  • Foundations of Support
    • Our 24/7 staff support ensures that each resident has immediate assistance whenever needed, fostering a sense of security and peace of mind. We individualize our approach to each resident's needs, providing personalized support with daily living activities and medication management. Additionally, our commitment to health is reflected in the  nutritious meals and snacks made fresh onsite. We also facilitate medical and non-medical transportation, empowering residents to engage with their community and pursue their interests. By creating a flexible foundation of support that residents can opt into, we foster an environment where they can thrive and maintain their independence while receiving the care they deserve.
  • Connections and Engagement
    • We firmly believe that a person’s quality of life is deeply rooted in their relationships with others. To enhance this aspect, we strive to forge strong connections not only with the broader community in Northern Colorado but also among peers. By fostering interactions and friendships among community members and fellow participants, we create a supportive network that fosters personal growth and a sense of belonging. We work diligently to link the individuals we serve with local events, resources, and meaningful relationships that enrich their lives and broaden their horizons. Together, we cultivate a community where everyone can thrive through genuine connections.
  • Personal Residential Space
    • Our residential spaces are thoughtfully designed to create a private, personal environment where residents can thrive at their chosen level of independence. These inviting rooms not only offer a sense of comfort and autonomy but also provide a supportive atmosphere tailored to individual needs. Each resident has the flexibility to engage with the support available, ensuring they receive the right amount of assistance to foster their personal growth and well-being, all while enjoying the freedom of their own space.

We nurture an environment where residents are valued as individuals.

Mission

Our Mission statement: Adeo provides support for all major life activities for adults living with the residual impact of a brain injury by providing a place to call home and services that promote physical, behavioral and emotional wellness, opportunities for connection and joy.

Background Statement

Adeo’s story begins with a central purpose: to be the steadfast support for people with traumatic brain injuries in Northern Colorado. For almost 50 years, we have adapted and grown, but our unwavering focus remains on providing a helping hand and a caring place for those who need it most.

It all started in 1977, when a group of caring locals formed the Patient Advocacy Team. Inspired by a tragic accident and the struggles faced by those with brain injuries, they set up programs that still make a difference in Weld County and Northern Colorado today.

As the mission grew, so did the organization. In the late 1980s, we became the Greeley Center for Independence and began offering supportive housing for people who needed a safe place to call home. Then, in the 1990s, we took a big step forward by creating a campus for people with traumatic brain injuries, making us a go-to place for care and community.

In 2001, we opened the doors to the Stephens Farm campus, giving even more people with brain injuries a chance to thrive. As we tried new programs and reached more folks, it became clear just how important specialized TBI housing really was, and that’s where we put our energy.

By 2018, our mission became clearer: dedicate ourselves fully to those living with traumatic brain injuries. We rebranded in 2020 as Adeo, maintaining our commitment to helping brain injury survivors live fulfilling lives. Today, we are Northern Colorado’s only full-service residential facility for brain injury survivors, where we prioritize connection, support, and a sense of home every day.
