"Relationship & Support Regardless" is what A Friend for You provides to those who are pregnant. We offer one-on-one support, tangible gifts and connection to community resources. Once a client and trustworthy volunteer are matched, it looks like a cup of coffee or going to a doctor's appointment together.

A Friend 4U is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization who serves those who are pregnant by offering one-on-one unconditional support through friendship, tangible gifts, and connection to community resources.
From 2009 - 2013, a group of volunteers (through a partnership of a local church and a nonprofit located out of state) provided one-on-one support to pregnant women in the community. With the approval of the church and nonprofit, this group of volunteers formed a separate organization, called A Friend 4U with local leadership. A Friend 4U started operation in March, 2013 and received nonprofit status from the Internal Revenue Service on July 11, 2013. In Spring, 2022 A Friend 4U rebranded and updated it's name to the community as A Friend for You.
In 2023, A Friend for You currently has 23 Volunteer Friends who are matched in one-on-one support with clients and 3 other people who help maintain the programs and accountability between volunteers and clients, 1 administrative person, as well as a Board of Directors with 5 members.
Clients and their matched Volunteer Friends meet when and where they both agree in the community and based on the needs of the client. This personalized support lasts as long as the client wants; many relationships years past pregnancy.
