A Caring Pregnancy Resource Center provides free, non-judgmental, confidential services to women, men, and students across Northeast Colorado who are facing the challenges of an unplanned pregnancy. Hope is found when receiving emotional and practical support before, during, and after pregnancy. You can become involved through our various volunteer opportunities and donations are always needed to continue the work of impacting and saving lives!

Mission

A Caring Pregnancy Resource Center of Northeast Colorado exists to provide information, support, and resources to individuals regarding pregnancies in northeast Colorado.

Background Statement

A Caring Pregnancy Resource Center of Northeast Colorado registered in the State of Colorado in 1999 and received 501(c)3 status in 2001. Heer Mortuary began donating rent of our first main location (214 Cameron Street, Brush) in 1999. In 2008, we opened a second location in Holyoke, and in 2016, we opened two more locations in Sterling and Yuma. We began with one part-time volunteer staff member and hired our first fulltime director in 2003, Jan Loesch, who continued until 2013. Following an interim director, Faye Barnhart was hired as our executive director in July 2015. Additional volunteers and staff members were added, including a part-time assistant, student services coordinator, and paid and unpaid site directors and assistant directors for each of the locations. In 2018, funds were raised to purchase and upfit a mobile medical vehicle to begin offering limited ultrasound to confirm pregnancy. In 2019, Dr. Julia Trevino-Emerson became the medical director and a part-time nurse manager was hired. Between 2016 and 2020, more than three thousand students were reached in twenty-one school districts with a message of hope for healthy relationships. In 2021, we served more than one hundred families and continue to offer compassionate alternatives and resources for mothers struggling with challenges while pregnant. We continue to grow as in 2022, the Brush office moved to a new location, a brand new location was opened in Wray, and Roberta Bigalk became our new Executive Director.
