Sports Made Possible

A nonprofit organization

Your donation makes it possible for disabled athletes in your community to play baseball. Miracle League Denver (formerly Sports Made Possible) is volunteer driven and many of our athletes require financial aid to participate. Thank you for supporting the hopes, dreams and teams of Miracle League!

Testimonials

"Miracle League is impossible to sum up in words. The volunteer experience is so beautiful because just a few hours of your time can make such a huge impact on these children and families. The league allows the participants to experience the sport first-hand, something they never thought possible. The parents of the children get to experience cheering their kids on and watching them grow and participate in a team sport. The entire experience is amazing, whether you are a participant, volunteer, family member, or fan."

"This program has been so important because it allows my daughter, son and I to all participate together. My son loves everything about being there."

"It is wonderful to see my son interacting with other kids and playing a sport. It is so great that there is a buddy program so Jack can play without his parents. Thank you so much!"

"Sports Made Possible has been WONDERFULL. It's great to see all these kids whose lives are so difficult in many ways to be able to just go out and play ball like other kids their age."

"JT played about 7 years ago on a regular field with no buddies. We helped him and wheeled him around on the two back wheels because of the grass. It was difficult!"

"I am twelve years old and this is my first time volunteering for this program. I have a cousin that has CP. She told me how much fun she had playing T-ball. I came to watch her play and I was hooked. I saw how much fun everyone was having. The helpers were laughing as much as the players were. I wanted to be involved."

Mission

Miracle League of Metro Denver is a 501(c)3 nonprofit in Metro Denver that provides children and adults, who are living with various mental and/or physical challenges, an opportunity to play baseball as a team member in an organized league. The league was founded in 2006 as Sports Made Possible. In 2017 we affiliated with The Miracle League, a nationwide adaptive baseball league, and renamed to Miracle League of Metro Denver.

We partner with Foothills Park & Recreation District to provide an amazing baseball experience to participants of all ages with special needs and rely on the support of our community to offer this program.

Miracle League of Metro Denver baseball games are played at Jason Jennings Adaptive Field at the Schaefer Athletic Complex. The Jason Jennings Field was built in 2006. The field has a rubberized surface, the only of its kind in Colorado, that makes getting around easy for any of our wheelchair or visually impaired participants.

Background Statement

- Incorporated as a Non-Profit organization (501c3) in the Fall of 2004 under the name: The Mile High Miracle League.

- Our original mission was to build a handicap accessible baseball field for children with disabilities.

- In April of 2006 we completed the construction of Jason Jennings Adaptive Field, at a cost of approximately $450,000. The Colorado Rockies and pitcher Jason Jennings were significant contributors to our organization and this project.

- The field is made of a rubberized surface which removes some of the more common obstacles which have prevented children with disabilities from playing in an organized baseball league.

- We have grown from 35 players our first year to over 120 players.

- We have a partnership with Foothills Parks and Recreation which helps us run the league.

- We won the El Pomar Statewide Award in 2008 for Excellence in the Sports and Recreation category.

- In 2017 we affiliated with The Miracle League, a nationwide adaptive baseball league, and renamed to Miracle League of Metro Denver (MLMD).
