Bishop Machebeuf High School honors its proud tradition of service to the Denver community.
Archbishop Urban J. Vehr dedicated Bishop Machebeuf High School in honor of the first bishop of Denver-on September 27, 1959. The school thrived and in 1987, Machebeuf added its West Campus at 18th and Pennsylvania to meet student needs.
In 2000, Bishop Machebeuf completed an historic move to its current location on the Lowry campus where on January 9, 2000 Archbishop Charles J. Chaput presided at a dedication Mass for the new facilities.
Since 1958 young women and men have graduated from Bishop Machebeuf High School prepared not only for the rigors of higher education, but also for the opportunities and challenges of life. With eyes towards the next 50 years and beyond, BMHS is enthusiastically confident that through faith in God and dedication to His mission for Bishop Machebeuf, the school will continue to guide and nurture tomorrow's leaders.
