To further the compassionate, safe, and responsible relationship between animals and people.
Larimer Humane Society is a trusted, responsive community leader, providing programs and services essential to the high quality of life for animals and people in Northern Colorado.
Founded in 1969, Larimer Humane Society is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is non-government, and is not a part of any national humane organizations. The organization promotes and provides the responsible care and treatment of animals. As an open-door animal care facility, we provide shelter, medical attention and care to nearly 6,500 lost, abandoned, injured, abused, ill and orphaned animals each year.
"Thank you all for what you to to help those animals that are not treated the way they should be. Every animal should be a member of a good, loving family and every lost or injured one needs to be helped and reunited with their family. Thank you, thank you!" -Donor
"We are so happy we found Pete at Larimer Humane Society, and cannot say enough good things about the job you do in and for the community. We can tell that Pete had quality socializing & cuddling before he came to live with us. He likes everyone he has met. Thank you so much for entrusting us with this little bundle of joy." -Adopter
"We adopted our cat Adeline from Larimer Humane Society May 2012. Her name was Aloe, and she was significantly discounted. We always say that was the best $20 we've ever spent. She is so special to us, and we will always have a special place in our heart for her, and hope to always be able to support." -Donor/Adopter
