Community Food Share
There are 47,000 people who are food insecure in Boulder and Broomfield Counties - that means 1 in 8 people lack consistent access to the food they need. Community Food Share annually distributes more than 9.3 million pounds of food through a network of more than 40 local non-profit organizations that provide meals, groceries, and other services, as well as through our onsite and mobile pantries that directly serve low-income families and seniors. We focus on nutritious foods like fresh produce, protein, and dairy - last year, 74% of the food we distributed was in these categories.
We work hard to make sure your gift has the biggest impact possible. Every dollar donated turns into three meals because we leverage local and national food donor relationships, negotiate significant savings on produce and protein purchases, engage a volunteer corps of more than 3,500 people, and collaborate with a strong network of community partners.
