What do you do?
We help the Jefferson County Public Library offer kid-centered programs like Babies First Books, Summer Reading, STEM competitions, and a lot more! We believe that learning to read early helps kids succeed in school and life! We also LOVE OUR PLANET and LOVE BOOKS! So, we find new homes and purpose for used books that are donated to us (we get thousands and thousands of books every year) and either hold book sales to find them new homes or recycle them.
Whom do you serve?
We serve the Jefferson County, Colorado community by supporting the Jefferson County Public Library.
What difference do you make?
We are helping conserve resources and raise money to make sure the library can have reading contests, clubs, and activities that inspire kids to learn and read! AND we keep TONS of books out of Jeffco landfills every year by finding new uses and homes for them.
How do donations help?
It takes a lot of people to process all the donations we receive, hold book sales, and get books recycled. We have a warehouse and storage facilities that we pay rent for AND we give thousands (normally over $150,000.00 a year) to the Library so they can offer programs like Summer Reading, create cool outdoor adventure spaces at libraries, and hold events like the Epic STEM competition and Raise a Reader festival. Your donation is used to make life better for people here in Jefferson County.
