Support Serving Kids Program CO Gives 2026
$0 Raised
Every student in Jeffco brings unique promise to the classroom, and our dedicated teachers are ready to guide them. But public tax dollars only cover the baseline. With 23,000 (31%) of Jeffco’s 75,000 students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch, nearly 1 in 3 students faces financial hurdles that can stand between where they are and where their dreams can take them.
Jeffco Schools Foundation bridges those gaps. We don’t replace public education—we uplift and supplement it. By uniting local donors, businesses, and community members, we channel direct support to programs that dismantle barriers and open clear pathways for every student to thrive.
Why Give This Colorado Gives Day?
Quality public education is a shared responsibility and every child's right. When you give, your support directly impacts students across three key areas:
🤝 Strengthen Our Community: Eliminate financial hurdles so every student has the stable, supportive environment they need to learn.
🍎 Invest in Educators: Fund teacher innovation grants that bring hands-on tools, STEM materials, and inspiring lessons to life.
🎨 Stimulate Student Growth: Cover participation and registration fees for arts, career hubs, and enrichment so no student is left out.
OUR VISION - Every Jeffco student thrives.
OUR MISSION - Jeffco Schools Foundation is a fundraising partner of the Jeffco Public Schools district. We cultivate partnerships to ensure Jeffco students thrive through equitable, excellent, and engaging educational experiences.
The Foundation was incorporated as a Colorado nonprofit organization in 1983 by a group of community members and educators who wanted to bridge public and private resources for public education in Jeffco Public Schools. The Jeffco Public Schools Board of Education created the nonprofit entity to be managed as a separate organization of community leaders passionate about the value, excellence, and benefits of public education in Jeffco.
The organization continues to partner with the District Education Center and Schools, both by being responsive to ideas generated by staff and by bringing new ideas to staff and schools which result in student impact. Our current work aligns with Jeffco Generations and many of the Foundation's grants support enhancing the student experience.
The Foundation is a separate entity with its own 501c3 status from the IRS and independent incorporation with the Colorado Secretary of State, and board of directors; it works to be as responsive to the needs of students in Jeffco Public Schools.
The Superintendent of the district and a member of the district's Board of Education both serve as ex offico members of the Foundation's Board of Directors, and the Board is comprised of Jeffco parents, community leaders and County stakeholders.
