Tim Bowen, Chief Executive Officer

Tim has worked in the hospice and palliative care field for more than 29 years. Tim holds a Master's degree in Social Welfare from the University of California at Berkeley and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of San Diego. He began his career as a medical social worker and progressed in management and leadership positions in both not for profit and for profit hospice organizations on a local, regional and national basis. Participation in professional organizations related to hospice and end of life care has been important to Tim throughout his career. Most recently, Tim co-founded the National Hospice Executive Roundtable, a group of chief executives from leading not for profit hospice organizations located across the country. He has been an active member of the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization and the Council of Hospice Professionals since 1988 serving on various committees. Tim currently serves as a board member on the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization's Hospice Action Network (HAN) Board of Directors.
Melinda Egging, President

Melinda Egging, CHC, a veteran hospice advocate with a breadth and depth of administrative experience, was named President of The Denver Hospice and its palliative care program, Optio Health Services, on March 22, 2018, after having filled the role on an interim basis since August 2017.
With more than 15 years of progressive experience with not-for-profit hospices in Colorado, Melinda is responsible for administration and supervision of all day-to-day organizational services and operations for The Denver Hospice and Optio Health Services, the oldest and largest end-of-life care and advanced care provider in the region. Her specific responsibilities include mission fulfillment, the 24-bed Inpatient Care Center at Lowry, Palliative Care, The Grief Center for adults and children, Quality and Education and Business Development and Strategy.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Hospice and Palliative Care Association of the Rockies and on the Regulatory Committee of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in Washington, D.C.
Dave Giordano, Vice President of Development

David M. Giordano is the Vice President of Development for The Denver Hospice. In this role, David is responsible for the organization's donor relationships, fundraising and planned giving programs.
David comes to The Denver Hospice from National Jewish Health, where he served as Director of Development - Major Gifts. During his 9 year tenure, he led a team of major and planned gift fundraisers, developed strategies for the discovery, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major and planned give prospects and donors in an 11-state region.
David's previous experience includes positions with Gebhardt Automotive and the University of Colorado Foundation. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and math from Claremont McKenna College and his MBA from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
