Sky's the Limit Fund

Wilderness therapy is an "off the couch" effective form of treatment for youth in mental health crisis. However, it is extremely costly and not covered by insurance, making it unattainable for families with financial need. Donate to STLF and make wilderness therapy accessible to ANY youth.

Judy Leach, Program Coordinator
Start Date: 2018

Judy Leach began her career as a Project Engineer/Manager in construction after receiving her BS in Civil Engineering (UC Berkeley) and moved to business unit finance in a semiconductor company after obtaining her MBA (Santa Clara University). After working for 12 years in Finance, she left the workforce to become more involved in her kid's activities. With one son now at college and the other in high school, Judy is excited to be a part of the STLF team and help families obtain help in accessing wilderness therapy programs. She has experienced first-hand how the journeys of adolescents don't always follow a straight path and that detours are part of the growing process. In her spare time, Judy is involved in outdoor activities (thanks Boy Scouts and family!) and still enjoys busting out the occasional triathlon.

Debbie Roelands, Bookkeeper/Grant Writer
Start Date: 2015

Debbie Roelands began her career in sales and administration but soon after moved over to finance, obtaining her CPA license and working for Deloitte as an auditor. She continued in finance and for the past 15 years has devoted her time to the parent organizations at her son's schools. Debbie was Treasurer and President of the PTAs, Parent Clubs, and Chair of many programs and fundraisers for the schools. She utilized her financial knowledge and leadership skills to successfully raise and manage the funds and the volunteers of the various organizations. Her passion is giving her time and talents to benefit those in need and less fortunate, youth in particular. Deciding to re-enter the work force, she focused on finding a position with an organization benefiting youth and utilizing her knowledge and experience in finance. Having first-hand experience with the benefits Wilderness Therapy provides to youth in crisis and their families, and knowing that it is cost prohibitive to so many in need, Debbie feels privileged and blessed to work for Sky's the Limit Fund.

Nancy Moore, Executive Director
Start Date: 2016

Nancy Moore brings 10 years of non-profit and community development experience to her role. Prior to STLF, she served in a variety of roles including President and Technology Director of an educational non-profit. Her focus and passion has always centered on advocating for children in need. Prior to working with non-profits, Nancy was an experienced manager with Accenture delivering technology solutions for Fortune 500 companies. Personally, she enjoys spending time with her three teens, playing tennis and golf, skiing, volunteering in the community and exploring Pinnacles National Park.
