Karalyn Dorn, Executive Director
Start Date: 2015

Karalyn's 25+ years of professional experience in the field of human services includes administration, case management, community outreach, volunteer recruitment, job development, fundraising and program coordination. For more than 10 years, she worked in refugee resettlement in Colorado. She has lived and worked in Latin America, including a two-year stint as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala, and is fluent in Spanish.

Karalyn began to volunteer at CMS in 2003. She joined CMS staff as Program Coordinator in 2008 and became Operations Manager in 2014 and Executive Director in 2015.

Karalyn holds a Master of Social Sciences degree from the University of Colorado and a B.A. in English and Spanish from the University of Northern Colorado.

María Lopez, Kitchen Manager and Cook
Start Date: 2010

María's many talents include preparing delicious meals from scratch. She has prepared hearty home-style meals for CMS clientele during every harvest season since 2010.

María Frausto, Office and Client Services Assistant
Start Date: 2018

In April 2018, María joined CMS as a part-time assistant in the office, providing referrals and other direct services to clients as well as office administrative support. She started to work for CMS in 2016 to prepare meals for holidays and other special events and still fulfills this function as necessary. María has lived and worked in Mesa County for more than 10 years and has extensive experience with local orchards and vineyards. She is highly knowledgeable about community resources.

Erika Gonzalez, Janitorial services

Erika provides janitorial services at the Hospitality Center on a weekly basis or more as needed.
