Kathy Steckel, Executive Director
Start Date: 2014

Kathy Steckel brings more than 20 years of EMS field experience to her Executive Director position at North Fork Ambulance. As Executive Director, Kathy is responsible for the continued improvement and balance of Patient Care, Financial Stability, Operations and Personnel. Kathy reports to the company president regarding her work with the company's department Captains and office personnel, sharing with the president the company's compliance with federal, state and local EMS policies and procedures. Kathy participates on number of company committees and work groups and attends pertinent internal and community functions as requested. Kathy prepares information relative to North Fork Ambulance operational issues and uses these materials to effectively interact with the state EMS office, allied agencies, area health care providers and the general public.

Kathy's EMS career serves her well in her role personally interacting with all levels of the agency's staff. After 20 years as an EMT she is now an Advance Life Support provider with EMT-Intermediate certification and is active as an ALS provider. She has served as a Delta County Sheriffs Office Dispatcher, a Field Training Officer, and State of Colorado Preceptor for EMTs accreditation and, as an ambulance field supervisor oversees the response and transport activities of more than 50 responders.

Kathy has been writing and administering grants for the past 14 years and recently attended Rural Philanthropy Days and takes advantage of CRC America trainings regularly to expand her knowledge of charitable giving opportunities.
