Claritza Marenco, Life Assistance Facilitator
Start Date: 2019

Claritza joined the River Center team in November 2019. Prior to joining our team she worked with the Community Health Services in Aspen, CO for two years.

Liz Gabuardi, Assistant Director
Start Date: 2018

Liz moved to Colorado in 2001 from California and has been a New Castle resident since 2007. She dedicated her time to the New Castle Cub Scouts as the Committee Chairman for three years, volunteered at our local schools and most recently started volunteering for the River Center in December 2016 with the coat drive, Angel Tree and currently Totes of Hope. As of August 2019, she has become the Assistant Director for the River Center bringing organization, dedication and compassion towards others. Prior to this, Liz had worked retail for over 10 years in customer service, including two years in Human Resources. Outside of work she enjoys hiking, sightseeing, museums, board games and overall spending time with her family.

Heather Paulson, CEO/Executive Director
Start Date: 2014

Mrs. Paulson was serving as the PTAC President at a local elementary school and began volunteering at the River Center in 2012. She was asked to lead the Angel Tree program in 2013 and in that position she drew attention to the Board of Directors and Executive Director and was asked to join the staff as the Assistant Director. She was promoted to the Executive Director position in March 2016. Mrs. Paulson worked in the graphic design field for 15 years prior to joining the River Center. Besides her design and marketing skills, she brings to the River Center organization, connections within the community, compassion, dedication, and ability to lead. Outside of work she enjoys her family, hiking, swimming, traveling, scrapbooking, art, and photography.
