John Moore, Executive Director/Founder
Start Date: 2013
John Moore is an award-winning arts journalist who was named one of the 12 most influential theater critics in the United States by American Theatre Magazine in 2011. His online innovations for The Denver Post prompted the Chicago Tribune to suggest that The Denver Post's online theater coverage was the best in the nation. Recently he has taken a groundbreaking new position as an in-house journalist for the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. His ongoing coverage of the entire Colorado theatre community can be found at www.MyDenverCenter.Org. He started the Denver Actors Fund as a way of organizing community-wide responsive efforts when members of the local theatre community find themselves in immediate medical need.
Chris Gibley, Board President
Start Date: 2019
Will Barnette, 32, succeeded his mother-in-law, Brenda Billings, who died of a brain aneurysm in 2016. Barnette, a Web Developer for TeamSnap, Inc., felt an urgent need to continue the work that Brenda Billings had begun as well as to keep strong the ties the Billings Family has forged with the Denver Actors Fund, a non-profit that provides financial and practical assistance to members of the local theatre community in situational medical need.
