Michelle Featheringill, CEO/Executive Director
Start Date: 2016

I am very excited to have recently come onboard at the La Plata County Humane Society as the new Executive Director. My background has primarily been in the human side of non-profit healthcare administration, where I have spent over a decade as a CEO working in women's healthcare. I have also worked for two years, as a hospital administrator in a veterinary emergency and specialty hospital, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I hope that my past work experience will serve me well in my new role, and hope that it will assist my efforts to be part of the great new team I will be working with, here at LPCHS.

The Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, donors and members that I have had the pleasure to meet, are wonderfully dedicated people who are truly committed to the mission of what our Humane Society can and should be; now and in the future. We want to be considered a great asset within our community; known not just for our invaluable services and programs surrounding the animals entrusted to our care, but for our many educational programs, and partnerships that we provide, as well. And, let's not forget our fabulous thrift store!

Please look for me the next time you come to LPCHS….I would love to meet you in person or please feel free to connect with me via email michelle@lpchumanesociety.org or phone 259.2847 x130. I look forward to being part of the team.
