Sara Fuentes, Executive Director
Start Date: 1984

For more than 30 years, Sara Fuentes was involved in various facets of private and public business administration. In addition to ownership of Denver Business Associates, Sara worked extensively as an advocate for the small and small disadvantaged business community. She successfully operated the Denver Minority Business Development Center, funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce for over fourteen years. She presently serves as Executive Director of Minority Enterprise and Educational Development (MEED), an organization that she was instrumental in founding, that provides scholarships for disadvantaged youth in the Denver Public School System and a program that provides backpacks and school supplies to the homeless youth in the Aurora, Denver and Jefferson County School Districts. She has worked with Denver Public Schools as their Business Diversity Outreach Program Consultant and was on the Denver Transit Partners, Eagle P3 Public Information Team.

Ms. Fuentes has received awards for her efforts; the U.S. Small Business Administration's 1999-Minority Small Business Advocate of the Year, the Martin Luther King Social Responsibility Award, in 1995-as an Individual Making a Difference.
