Ceyl Prinster, President and CEO
Start Date: 1987

As President and CEO of CEF, Ms. Prinster is responsible for oversight of the overall operations of CEF, including program delivery, resource development, strategic planning, and communications. Under her leadership, the organization has grown from a small, inner-city loan pool to a nationally-known community development financial institution serving the entire State of Colorado. Prior to joining CEF, Ms. Prinster was a commercial lending and training officer at United Bank of Denver, which is now Wells Fargo Bank. She holds the investment-industry professional designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She also serves as President of the Denver Regional Capital Corporation and on the Governing Board and Investment Committee of the Colorado Growth and Revitalization Fund, which allocates New Markets Tax Credits across Colorado. She is a member of the Governor's Small Business Council, the Advisory Board for the Colorado Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) and a past member of the Denver SBDC Advisory Board. She serves on the Board of St. Anthony's Health Foundation, where she is a member of the Executive Committee and is Assistant Treasurer. In 1999, she was named the Financial Services Advocate of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration for both the State of Colorado and Region VIII. She is a former Trustee of the University of Notre Dame, the Past President of the Notre Dame Alumni Association and a Board Member of the Alumni Association from 2005 to 2009. She was awarded the Thomas Dooley Award for service to humanity from the University in 1988, and in 2010 she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Denver Notre Dame Club. She is a graduate of Leadership Denver, the Denver Community Leadership Forum and Colorado Outward Bound.
