Kristin Heath Colon, Vice President for Advancement and Executive Director CMC Foundation

Kristin Heath Colon, Colorado Mountain College's VP for Advancement ǀ Foundation CEO came to CMC in 2016 after more than six years as President and CEO of the Denver Public Schools Foundation.

While with the DPS Foundation Kristin oversaw the strategy, operations and fundraising for the DPS Foundation, managing a $12M annual budget and Foundation staff. Under Kristin's leadership, the DPS Foundation's support of DPS students and the district grew exponentially with revenue increasing by 125% from $6.6M to $14.9M. This growth earned the DPS Foundation national prominence; in February 2012 the DPS Foundation was ranked the #2 public school foundation in the country in a national study by Dewey and Associates.

Prior to her position with the Denver Public Schools Foundation Kristin spent 14 years at the University of Colorado Foundation where she held multiple roles in support of Colorado Athletics and student athletes from 1992 - 2006. In addition to her roles with the DPS Foundation and CU Foundation, Kristin has served as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Além International and as Director of Donor Relations for Mile High United Way. Kristin has also enjoyed working on a variety of political campaigns in Colorado, Missouri and California.

Kristin graduated from Scripps College in Claremont, CA with a bachelor's degree in psychology, and has served on numerous nonprofit boards. She is a proud recipient of the 2009 "Torch of Liberty" award from the Mountain States Office of the Anti-Defamation League and was recognized as one of the "Top 25 Most Powerful Women" in 2015 by the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce.

Carrie Besnette Hauser, President & CEO

Dr. Carrie Besnette Hauser is president and CEO of Colorado Mountain College, a public two- and four-year degree granting institution with eleven learning locations serving 12,000 square miles of the picturesque central Rocky Mountains. Hauser's career has included leadership and management roles in higher education institutions, private foundations, and the public policy arena. She has been an executive at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and Metropolitan State University of Denver. Hauser also served as vice president and an original senior officer of the Daniels Fund.

Seth Goddard, Director of Development
Start Date: 2018

Seth lives in Carbondale,CO and has 25 years of professional experience that bring a very interesting background to the Foundation team. He has been a reporter, web-editor and production manager for Time, Inc.; launched Kmart's first e-commerce platform; directed annual reports and conducted large fundraising events for advocacy and education focused organizations; and has supported numerous non-profits surrounding email and marketing automation as well as maximizing donor growth strategies using data analytics. He also serves as the Co-Chair of the Carbondale Arts Board of Directors.
