Cait Bambenek, School Based Mentoring Programs Manager
Start Date: 2018
Cait oversees all programmatic aspects of the School Based Mentoring Programs including the recruiting, hiring, training, and ongoing support and professional development of School Based Mentors. Cait moved to Steamboat Springs from Phoenix, Arizona, where she served children and families in a variety of agency settings, most recently as the Social Emotional Learning Specialist at a Middle School in Glendale, Arizona. Cait received her Bachelor's in Social Work from the University of Montana-Missoula and completed her Master's in Social Work, with a focus on School Social Work, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015. Cait is bilingual in Spanish/English.
Alejandra Segovia, Community Based Spanish Speaking Case Manager

Alejandra is responsible for creating and supporting partnerships between adult volunteers and youth, with an emphasis on serving our Latino youth and families. She also assists with partnership activities and trainings and oversees our Nexus program. Alejandra is from Colombia. She attended Politecnico Gran Colombiano, Bogota, Colombia where she earned a BS in Business Administration in 2005. Her experience ranges from sales and banking to education and case management. She moved to Steamboat 2008 and in addition to her position at PRC she is also a Spanish Interpreter/Translator for Integrated Community.
Julia Luciano, Community Based Lead Case Manager

Julia oversees all aspects of the One-to-One Mentoring Program including Junior Partner referral and intake procedures and Senior Partner screening and training. She also creates and supports our partnerships and coordinates activities for waiting Junior Partners and partnerships as well as ongoing training for Senior Partners. Julia has a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University. Julia has worked with children and families since 2000 teaching swimming in Steamboat, mentoring at the Boys and Girls Club in Fort Collins, and assisting with a youth literacy program in India. Since graduating in 2014, she facilitated sexual violence prevention education programming to youth and schools in Fort Collins.
Karin Koop, Bookkeeper
Start Date: 2006
Karin is the Bookkeeper for Partners. She handles all accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and grant reimbursements. Karin has been an independent bookkeeper since 2006 and has several clients in Steamboat Springs. Karin gained her BS in Business from the University of Southern New Hampshire.
Michelle Petix, CEO/Executive Director

Michelle's passion is working with youth, families, and their communities. In addition to a BA in Psychology from Westfield State College, Michelle has over 20 years of leadership experience in the non-profit and government sector. Most recently she was the Juvenile Diversion Coordinator for the Routt County District Attorney's Office, 14th Judicial District. Prior to that she played a key role in the ongoing development and implementation of the Routt County Teen Center and has also worked with the Community Youth Corps, and Rocky Mountain Youth Corps. She has and continues to serve on many Boards in the community including the Routt County Youth Coalition. Coming full circle, Michelle served as a founding board member of Partners in Routt County in 1996 and was one of the authors of PRC's non-profit application and mission statement.
Maura Walsh, Communications & Operations Manager
Start Date: 2018
Maura's primary focus is on increasing the visibility and awareness of Partners in Routt County. She is responsible for recruiting new volunteers, managing PRC's online presence, assisting with fundraising and special events, providing essential administrative support, and serving as a representative of PRC throughout the community. Maura has extensive experience in "connecting people to community" on both the local and global canvas, ranging from her background in international food security and study abroad programming to, most recently, her work delivering library programs to Steamboat's youth ages zero to five. Maura received her BA in Psychology from Lewis & Clark College in 2008.
