Kathleen Cline, CEO/Executive Director
Start Date: 2004

Founder and Director Kathleen Cline works tirelessly, selflessly and creatively not only for the welfare of cats but for the welfare of all animals. Kathleen has always had a passion for helping animals in need, and she has years of experiences rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing a wide variety of animals, including horses, dogs and cats. After a move from a rural location back to the city, she volunteered for several local shelters and rescue groups. Devastated and saddened by the vast differences in the care of the animals, she created "Almost Home Adoptions for rescued cats," a unique adoption center and sanctuary that provides a cage-free, communal living environment for the cats. Kathleen's goal is to see the day that adoptable animals are no longer killed due to lack of shelter space or killed for convenience. This goal is reflected in Almost Home Adoptions for rescued cats' programs, policies and philosophies. These efforts include reducing feral cat colonies through spay/neuter, networking with other animal rescues/shelters, and educating the public regarding responsible animal guardianship.

Tanessa Cline, Shelter Manager
Start Date:

Tanessa has been involved in animal rescue her entire life. She also brings previous experience as a vet tech assistant to Almost Home Adoptions. Tanessa's compassion for the cats, coupled with her years of experience working daily and closely with the cats, gives her keen insight into their behaviors and personalities. These invaluable skills enable her to understand and improve the lives of the residents at Almost Home--even those who have come from among the most challenging and desperate situations. Helping all of the cats and kittens blossom not only improves their quality of life at Almost Home, but also increases their chances of adoption and finding their own special forever homes.

Lisa Carle, Veterinarian
Start Date:

Dr. Lisa Carle dedicates her time to helping the cats and kittens at Almost Home Adoptions for rescued cats. Her passion makes a significant difference in the lives of these innocent animals--animals who haven't been given much of a chance until they find their way to Almost Home. Dr. Lisa not only addresses the medical needs of the cats, but she frequently accompanies Director Kathleen Cline on rescues and spends sleepless nights caring for critically ill/injured Almost Home Adoptions residents. Dr. Lisa Carle is a graduate of the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
