Chu-Yu Linn, Graphics Artist
Start Date: 2015

Just as a Scarlet Macaw adds color and beauty to its environment, Chu-Yu spends her days beautifying the materials EFTA produces. Chu-Yu was born in Taiwan and came to the U.S. in 2008. She believes that design is an essential component of our environment-and our lives. Her degree in Applied Science Graphic Design from the Community College of Denver helps her actualize the team's ideas to EFTA's education, communication and outreach materials.

Susan Bonfield, CEO/Executive Director
Start Date: 2011

Susan earned a B.S. in Biology from Randolph-Macon Woman's College and an M.S. in Ecology Fisheries and Wildlife from University of Michigan. After studying Black-legged Kittiwakes in Alaska, she returned to the lower 48 where she has since gained over 17 years experience in bird research and education. She has conducted bird surveys, run banding stations, and been a part of bird research in Maine, Virginia, California, and Colorado. Because of her interest in education and bird conservation, she enjoys applying her knowledge of birds to programs that involve people of all ages. She has created education programs in the U.S. and Mexico, assisted with workshops on bird monitoring and conservation in both countries, taught basic identification courses, and led Elderhostels and youth science programs. She has also prepared numerous biological evaluations and assessments and conservation baselines.
