Barbara Pazos, Program Manager

Barbara is a native Brazilian who moved to the U.S. when she was 15 years old. At Florida International University, she obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Environmental Studies, and taught Ecology of South Florida for two years. Her thesis investigated the management of community forests in Oaxaca, Mexico. After completing her graduate studies, Barbara served in the Peace Corps, working as a Community Environmental Conservation Specialist in Los Santos, Panama. She strongly believes that education, community engagement, and developing sustainable relationships are key components to conservation efforts.

Griselda Landa-Posas, Assistant Coordinator for LHIP intern program

Griselda grew up in Denver, but her parents are originally from Central Mexico. When she is not in the office, you can find her rock climbing, biking, reading fiction, and cooking!
Dalia Dorta, Director of Latino Outreach

Dalia came from Venezuela and is passionate about engaging Latino youth in career opportunities. She directs EFTA's Latino outreach programs, both locally, nationally, and internationally, working with partners, families and communities.
Chu-Yu Lin, Graphic Designer

Just as a Scarlet Macaw adds color and beauty to its environment, Chu-Yu spends her days beautifying the materials EFTA produces. She believes that design is an essential component of our environment-and our lives. Her degree in Applied Science Graphic Design from the Community College of Denver helps her actualize the team's ideas to EFTA's education, communication and outreach materials.
Susan Bonfield, CEO/Executive Director

Susan earned a B.S. in Biology from Randolph-Macon Woman's College and an M.S. in Ecology Fisheries and Wildlife from University of Michigan. After studying Black-legged Kittiwakes in Alaska, she returned to the lower 48 where she has since gained over 17 years experience in bird research and education. She has conducted bird surveys, run banding stations, and been a part of bird research in Maine, Virginia, California, and Colorado. Because of her interest in education and bird conservation, she enjoys applying her knowledge of birds to programs that involve people of all ages. She has created education programs in the U.S. and Mexico, assisted with workshops on bird monitoring and conservation in both countries, taught basic identification courses, and led Elderhostels and youth science programs. She has also prepared numerous biological evaluations and assessments and conservation baselines.
