Directora del Programa Compañeras
Elena Aranda has worked tirelessly to fulfill the Compañeras program's mission of promoting the wellbeing of women; enhancing their quality of life while expanding access to educational and cultural programs, developing political consciousness and collectively mobilizing social justice actions. Compañeras works with primarily Spanish speaking women to promote and strengthen a cultural solidarity with an emphasis on companionship, respect, equality and mutual support. For the past 10 years the Compañeras program has held an annual summit that attract hundreds of women and youth. It is unique in our community as the only summit by women for women who speak Spanish. In addition to her work with Compañeras, Elena has been a Parent-Infant Specialist in the Community Infant Program at Boulder Mental Health Partners for 21 years. Elena is a powerful leader in the Boulder community who has gained a reputation for compassion while garnering widespread respect for her professionalism and energy.

Maya Sol es una latinx apasionada en trabajar, capacitar y empoderar a su comunidad, en especial a las jóvenes. Simultáneamente, Maya trabaja en Salud Publica del Condado de Boulder en el programa GENESISTER, un programa reconocido nacionalmente por el trabajo de prevención de embarazo en la adolescencia. Encuentra su motivación trabajando con las familias proveyendo apoyo en justicia reproductiva, identidad, comunicación intergeneracional, servicio a la comunidad y empoderamiento de las jóvenes y sus familias.

Maya Sol ha estado con El Centro Amistad durante los últimos 10 años como directora de programas para jóvenes, y es la fundadora de la Cumbre de Jóvenes Compañeras. Abogar por la juventud ha sido la principal misión de justicia social de Maya Sol. Ella disfruta trabajando con jóvenes para examinar los asuntos de justicia social e interseccionalidad para fomentar el liderazgo y movimientos en la comunidad, haciendo grupos semanales, trabajando en casos de familia e intervenciones culturalmente sanadoras para jóvenes para que puedan utilizar la información y tomar sus propias decisiones para su futuro.

Jorge De Santiago joined El Centro AMISTAD as its first center administrator in 2001 and transition to the executive director position in 2002. Jorge also serves on the Executive Committee of the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition a statewide, membership-based coalition of immigrant, faith, labor, youth, community and ally organizations founded in 2002 to build a unified statewide voice to defend and advance justice for all immigrants and refugees in Colorado and the United States and also board member of the Latino Task Force of Boulder County, the mission of the LTF is to act as a catalyst for positive community change by engaging public, private, and governmental organizations to improve the quality of lives of Latino families in Boulder County.
