Coreen Schmidt has been an Executive Director for non-profit organizations for 8 years, both in Colorado and in Texas. She has her MSSW in Communities, Administration and Leadership. She has worked in the field of family violence for 20 years and has worked for a domestic violence shelter and a children's emergency shelter in the past and most recently was ED for a children's advocacy center for 3 counties. She has served on the Advisory Board of the Colorado Coalition against Domestic Violence and been awarded the Community Service Award from the Boulder Interdisciplinary Committee in 2010. Mother House also received the 2015 Organization of the Year from the Boulder Business & Professional Women, under her directorship. Coreen in happy to continue the hard work that the previous Director did at Mother House.
