Jenny Shaw, Shelter Director
Start Date: 2016

Shelter Manager is responsible for the overall functioning of the shelter, its staff and the quality of program services provided to residents. Previously she served as Director of Programs at Children First of the Rockies. Her experience includes 10 years as Program Coordinator for Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education within their Mental Health Department. Previous to that, Jenny was a case manager at a girl's residential treatment center. Jenny has 20+ years' experience in the social service field. She earned her bachelor's degree in Social Services Management and a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix.

Breanne Meyer, Outreach Program Director
Start Date: 2019

Ms. Meyer originally joined Safe Shelter in 2005. Before becoming the program supervisor, she provided legal advocacy support to victims including: protection orders, family court, immigration and criminal cases. Direct services also include safety planning, crisis management, community referrals and liaison with the legal and criminal justice professionals. In 2010, she collaborated with local attorneys and legal service providers to develop the Expanded Legal Services Program to help pay for attorney fees. She rejoined Safe Shelter in 2018. BreAnne holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from CU Boulder.

Emily Eckart, Prevention Education Coordinator

Emily is responsible for the design, expansion and provision of the teen prevention education programming.

Jane Klostreich, Business Manager
Start Date:

Jane oversees the day-to-day office, administrative and financial tasks, ensuring effective, efficient, and responsive organizational operations. Jane has worked as a Financial Manager, Grant Manager, Human Resource Manager, Office Manager, and Bookkeeper over the past 25 years. Her formal education includes U.S Department of Justice Financial Management Training, Accounting courses at Front Range Community College and training as a Registered Tax Return Preparer.

Naomi Harris, Development Director

Naomi oversees the organization's fund development plan and is responsible for grant proposals, donor management, corporate relations and messaging to support of Safe Shelter and its programs. Naomi has helped build capacity for nonprofit organization throughout metro Denver for 25 years with an emphasis on diverse, underserved and disenfranchised populations. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from New York State University and a Masters degree in Communications from Fairfield University.

Jackie List, CEO/Executive Director
Start Date: 2010

Jackie has been with Safe Shelter for 15 years in several positions including Shelter Weekend Manager, Children's Advocate, and Program Director. Additionally, she has 9 years experience with the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence as a consultant. She has her Bachelor's degree from Miami University in Fine Arts and her Master's degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati.
