Tawna Scalese, Director of Accounting | Finance
Start Date: 2018

Tawna, a Colorado native, has extensive experience in accounting, including a high level of concentration on billing and accounts receivable (especially Medicaid). She worked most recently for a home health agency, and also has five years of experience with accounting for Catholic Health Initiatives, which owned 40 skilled nursing, assisted living and residential living communities.

Wade Clark, Director of Facilities
Start Date: 2014

Wade Clark comes to SHO with over 20 years' experience in Human Services. For the last 9 years he served as Project Manager for several multimillion dollar government contracts providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Handling every aspect of the contracts from the bidding process through hiring, training and insuring a successful outcome for the employees and the employer was a challenge he enjoyed! It also provided him with extensive experience to share in his position at SHO. Wade and his wife enjoy traveling, sharing company with their dogs and any opportunity to see, play or listen to music!

Vennita Jenkins, Regional Director of Operations

Vennita has been part of the SHO family since April, 2017. She serves as the Regional Director of Operations, overseeing SHO's six subsidized apartment properties and six assisted living communities.

James H. Goddard, Executive Director
Start Date: 2017

As SHO's Executive Director, Jim leads the staff team and works directly with the Board to deliver the mission, and facilitates planning toward new opportunities for the organization. With over 30 years of senior-level leadership experience in health care, informal education, and project management, Jim brings in-depth understanding of, and broad connections within, the non-profit sector in Colorado.

His experience includes partnering with hundreds of organizations to expand health screening for people of all ages across the state, delivery of programs and support of research to help manage and prevent arthritis, engagement of the public in science and health education programs and presentations, guiding the building of a new hospital facility, and management of direct delivery of healthcare.

Jim is an avid outdoorsman, photographer and exercise enthusiast. He volunteers to support local youth education as well as international health education through his Rotary club. He is an amateur Olympic Games historian and collector, and he loves spending time with his family and his Golden Retriever.

Cait Barnett, Resource Development and Marketing Manager

Cait has been part of the SHO team since 2016, moving up from Administrative Assistant, to Office Administrator, to Resource Development and Marketing Manager.

Cait's background is in journalism. She worked as a reporter for three years before joining SHo.
