Sharon Smith, CEO/Executive Director

Sharon Smith has served as Executive Director of EChO since 2010. She holds a Master of Psychology, as well as a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice and psychology. She is also a Certified Protection Professional. Her career began in law enforcement, and she was a principal designer of the National Crime Prevention Council's "Take A Bite Out of Crime" nationwide campaign. Her thirty years of professional and volunteer management experience include tenures as a security manager, Red Cross instructor, volunteer coordinator, client advocate, director of religious education, Girl Scout leader and substitute teacher. Her background and skills include organizational development, nonprofit administration, fiscal management, board development, personnel management, outreach, public relations, facilities management, project design and implementation, and community leadership.
Jo Haynes, Food Bank Manager

Jo has held many positions and many different occupations. She relocated to a different area about every 4 to 7 years because of her husband's job. Working for schools while her children were young and then working for The Ohio State University as they got older, she went back to school and earned a degree in Communications. After meeting Jo, you will notice she likes to communicate and engage with the clients and volunteers in the food bank. Having worked for nonprofits and schools, she understands how valuable volunteers are to running a successful organization.
Brenda Gibson, Job Center Director

Non-profit and public service manager. M. A. in Public Affairs. Uniquely experienced in a broad range of organizational environments: large tech corporations, small non-profits and higher education. 15yrs various positions in Business Operations, Workforce Development, Career Coaching and Case Management. Hands-on motivational interviewer, utilizing client centered techniques. Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic plans for implementation and process improvement.
Kim Gaudet, Manager EChO Resale Shop

Kim Gaudet is the Manager of the Evergreen Christian Outreach (EChO) Resale Shop, and has been employed by EChO for more than 20 years. Prior to being hired at the Resale Shop in 2003, Kim worked with clients at the Whitney House for over five years. She is a visionary, an artist, and loves to create. The EChO Resale Shop has been her canvas for fifteen years. Since 2003, she has expanded the store four different times, enlarging it from 1,200 sq. ft. to over 10,000 sq. ft. in size. Kim's intuitive response to the potential of the store guided her to create a unique resale shop that now sells a wide variety of items, including treasures and furniture from around the world, clothing, and jewelry. The store has its own donation truck, and receives an abundance of donations from community members. Kim's expertise and dedication to the Resale Shop has helped make the store one of the best upscale resale shops in Colorado. She has grown the employees from herself and her co-manager to twelve employees. Her volunteer staff started out with approximately forty-five volunteers, and has now to over a hundred volunteers. Kim's great leadership skills have earned the store the Ruby Award Winner - People's Choice Business in 2015. Kim also manages the advertising, special events, and social media for the store. She is currently working on creating a greater online presence in hopes of selling items world-wide as well as through online auction forums.
Mary Petrich, Volunteer Services Director

Mary has Bachelor of Science in education and continues to substitute teach on an occasional basis. While working for eighteen years as a Flight Attendant, Mary acquired extensive experience in customer/community relations. She began her career with EChO as a food bank volunteer and eleven years ago accepted the newly created position of Volunteer Coordinator. In her time on the job she has taken the volunteer workforce from eighty volunteers to an average of more than three hundred active participants.
Nancy Judge, Development Director

With a Bachelor of Science in marketing, Nancy spent most of her career working in software sales selling system analysis and design tools to the military/aerospace market. After semi-retiring in 2010, Nancy spent most of her time doing nonprofit work, including volunteering at another area food pantry for over five years. She began working at Evergreen Christian Outreach in January 2017 as the Food Bank Manager managing the day-to-day operations of the Food Bank, including increasing donations from area agencies, stores, and organizations while creating an inviting atmosphere for our clients. In February of 2019, Nancy moved over to become the Development Director.
Kaethe Zellner, Director of Client Services

Kaethe Zellner joined EChO's team in June of 2016 to be the Director of Emergency Shelter Program, a position she held until of 2018. She returned to Evergreen Christian Outreach in September 2018 as the Director of Client Services. Kaethe has over 30 years of experience in the field of Social Work, earning her Masters Degree in Social Work from Columbia University in 1988. Kaethe's experience includes working and volunteering for various non-profits, focusing on child and family services, mental health and homelessness, and community organizing. She is thrilled to be back at EChO and is excited to lead the Client Services team.
Rachel Saylor, Client Advocate

Rachel has a Master of Public Health with a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry. She has volunteered and worked for the past three decades in various public service and animal welfare roles, including research biologist, EMT, firefighter, and palliative and end of life care worker. Rachel has worked as a Client Services Advocate and Energy Outreach Colorado grant administrator for EChO since 2016.
Kathryn Cantrell, Client Advocate

Kathryn joined the EChO family in 2017. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work, Psychology, and Counseling in 2014. Kathryn initially pursued a career in sales, but loved spending her spare time volunteering with various nonprofit organizations. After a few years, she realized her true calling was in social work and helping others. Kathryn is extremely grateful for the opportunity to change lives and improve her community as a Client Advocate at EChO.
Cindy Costello, Bookkeeper
Start Date: 2004
Cindy has served as the bookkeeper for EChO since 2004. She conducts general financial duties for the agency, including accounts receivable and payable, financial reports, payroll, and budget tracking. She works closely with EChO's board treasurer to assure accuracy, transparency and accountability in all the agency's financial procedures. Her previous experience includes a position requiring Top Secret clearance in Research and Development at the National Security Agency, as well as other bookkeeping and administrative positions.
Lynn Kutalek, Assistant Food Pantry Manager

Lynn Kutalek holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy and Administration, and has held positions in government, including over 20 years teaching. She has also spent a lot of her free time volunteering for various political campaigns, often in leadership positions. Volunteering has been important to Lynn throughout her adult life. Lynn was first drawn to Evergreen Christian Outreach by its stellar reputation in the community. She volunteered many hours during the first five years, then assumed a newly-created role of Assistant Manager of the EChO Food Bank in June of 2011. Lynn is responsible for a myriad of tasks involved with daily operations and helps supervise approximately 30 volunteers each week. She created a donor appreciation program and works on a variety of other special projects. Lynn is very proud to work for EChO's Food Bank, which has been often recognized as a leader in our region.

Karen Triberti began volunteering at Echo in 2010 before joining the staff in 2011. In 2015, she transitioned to her current position at the Food Bank reception desk.
Lori A. Frease, Volunteer
Start Date: 2013
Lori Frease served as Marketing Director from April 2013 through April 2018. Lori and her family have lived in Evergreen for 17 years. She employed her talents to expand EChO's vibrant role in the Evergreen community She brings a wealth of experience working with non-profits and is looking forward to serving in the community where she lives. In 2018 she retired from EChO and is now serving as a volunteer with fundraising efforts.
