SAC provides computer stations, utility assistance, reduced-fare RTD passes, application assistance, emergency supplies, medical equipment loans, information, referrals and more to older adults and seniors. We also provide seminars for our clients on topics of interest and other events

While reading Being Mortal by Atul Gawande, Janet was captivated by the idea of creating our best lives for ourselves as we age. She loves working with seniors and promoting positive community and growth in north Denver.

Karen Black, Executive Director

Karen has spent most of her career in the non-profit arena. She is particularly drawn to vulnerable and at-risk populations and advocates for services that will positively impact the lives of these people in our community. Karen has held a variety of leadership roles and regularly volunteers at local non-profit agencies. Karen joined Senior Assistance Center in early 2017. Her vision for the agency's future is to expand and enhance its programs to meet the changing needs of the senior community including the ever increasing homeless senior population.
