Christian Kalenga, Program Director

Christian is an education professional who believes that education has the power to equalize the situations of each individual. Christian made Colorado home after moving to the United States in the winter of 2010 from Lusaka, Zambia in Africa. Christian has devoted his professional career to advocating for individuals towards self-efficacy in education and ultimately in life.

Christian's undergraduate degree attainment in Mathematics Education from Colorado State University- Fort Collins, allows him to navigate goal attainment with a quantifiable lens and brings a vast experience of working with youth to the foundation. As a Daniels Fund scholar, Christian believes in the power of leadership, community, and service and has previously sat on advisory boards and leadership teams. Christian enjoys all things sports, especially playing and coaching soccer and volleyball. Christian also enjoys spending his free time with his daughter and son who are a constant reminder to question everything and seek learning opportunities constantly.

Stephanie Baer, CEO/Executive Director

Stephanie Baer is a visionary nonprofit leader who strongly believes that education is a game changer not only for individuals but for communities as well. Raised as a proud Cheesehead, Stephanie has made Colorado her home for almost 20 years after completing her graduate degree in Nonprofit Management. Making her impact on Colorado children, Stephanie is the former director of Children's Outreach Project and The Wellness Initiative. Named as Women to Watch by the Denver Business Journal, Stephanie was a founding board member of the Early Childhood Partnership of Adams County and has served on countless boards and committees all for the betterment of children and youth. In addition to her work on behalf of children and families, Stephanie tries to spend as much time as she can hiking trails, breathing on her yoga mat, and watching her own children grow up.
