Corey Kala, Director of Financial Management and Information Technology

Corey Kala received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Northern Colorado.

From 1992-1996, Mr. Kala worked for AMC Cancer Research Center and accounted for one of the largest international cancer grants in the United States. He also accounted for Partners for Health Systems (PHS). PHS supplied used medical equipment to third-world countries.

Mr. Kala worked as the Director of Finance for Easter Seals from 1996-1999 where he was responsible for accounting activities for the main Colorado office and its affiliates.

In 1999, Mr. Kala began his career at Laradon as the Director of Finance and Information Technology where he manages a budget of more than $12 million. He is responsible for managing benefits and payroll for nearly 200 employees and acts as a money manager for participant accounts.

Mr. Kala is a member of Laradon's Budget and Finance Committee and provides the Board of Directors with monthly budget reports. He works closely with Laradon's Executive Management Team to ensure each department is within the limits of their budget.

Mr. Kala is responsible for billing MedicaidMedicare for services received by participants and works with Community Centered Boards and school districts across Colorado for billing purposes. He also offers his finance talents and assistance to other local nonprofit organizations such as the Colorado Nonprofit Association.

Mr. Kala is also Laradon's Information Technology Director and manages servers and more than 110 computers across Laradon's 6-acre campus. He provides technical assistance to staff computers and the participant Tech Lab which uses many adaptive equipment devices and software. His expertise in both accounting and information technology make Mr. Kala a great asset to Laradon, the staff and the participants.

Mr. Douglas W. McNeill, CEO

McNeill brings with him over 30 years of executive leadership in the healthcare business. His experience includes President and CEO of Lenawee Health Systems in Adrian, MI where he oversaw a 250 bed hospital with subsidiaries including a long-term care facility, health plan, ambulatory care center, and medical office building. McNeill was also the President and CEO of Atrium Health Systems in Middleton, OH where he oversaw day-to-day operations for a 300-bed hospital with numerous subsidiaries and partners across a 200-acre health campus.

More recently, McNeill was a principal and national healthcare advisor with The Arvina Group, LLC, a consulting group providing personalized strategic and measured performance solutions to major regional hospitals, health systems, and physician groups.

"Doug's vast knowledge and experience in executive leadership will allow Laradon to grow as an organization, thus enhancing our services to individuals with developmental disabilities," said Bill Mitchell, Chairman of the Board of Directors. He begins his new role as CEO on February 16, 2015.

Laradon has been a leading non-profit organization in the Denver community for over 67 years.
