David K. Schunk, President and CEO

Mr. Schunk joined Volunteers of America in November 2018. His previous experience includes serving as CFO at a $33 million dollar faith -based human services agency directing IT, Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Legal, Human Resources, Administration, and leading several strategic and significant real estate development projects. Prior to this, and spanning over 30 years, his experience includes senior management experience at StorageTek, IHS, and Intelligent Electronics. Mr. Schunk holds an MBA from the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business and Bachelors of Science in Finance from the University of Colorado. Mr. Schunk serves or has served on several ministry, business and community boards.
Mike Pritchard , Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Pritchard began with Volunteers of America in December 2019. As Chief Financial Officer Mr. Pritchard leads all duties in Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology for Volunteers of America. He also leads the Board of Directors Audit and Finance committee. Mr. Pritchard brings 24 years of experience in finance, fundraising and operations. His prior experience includes serving as the Chief Financial Officer of the University of Colorado Foundation, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Development for Goodwill Industries of Denver. Mr. Pritchard has spent more than two decades in the nonprofit sector in Colorado, working for organizations such as Mile High United Way, Family Tree and Habitat for Humanity. Mr. Pritchard received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration/Accounting and a Master of Business Administration - Finance Degree from University of Phoenix. Mr. Pritchard is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Colorado and Chartered Global Management Accountant -certification through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Mr. Pritchard is involved in several professional and community organizations.
Michael James, Vice President of Marketing and Development

Michael James, Vice President of Development, Marketing and Volunteer Services: Mr. James began his career with Volunteers of America in January 1981. He received a degree in Journalism from the University of Michigan. Mr. James oversees a staff of seven and active Board of Directors to raise $2.6 million annually for 50 programs within Volunteers of America. Mr. James is a member of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, Board member and past President of the Denver Lions Foundation and member of the Christian Management Association. In 1984, Mr. James was ordained a Minister of Volunteers of America.
Lindi Sinton, Vice President of Program Operations

Ms. Sinton has been employed by Volunteers of America since 1980. She began as a case manager, and served as program manager and division director before becoming Vice President in 2015. In the Vice-President position, she has general oversight of the Volunteers of America Programs within Colorado. Ms. Sinton holds both a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor's of Science Degree from the University of Colorado at Denver. She is an active community member and a participant in a variety of coalitions and networks in the Denver metro area as well as a commissioned Volunteers of America Minister.
Torey Dixon, Vice President of Affordable Housing

Torey Dixon, Vice-President of Affordable Housing, Volunteers of America Colorado Branch: Ms. Dixon joined Volunteers of America in March 2010 as Division Director of Affordable Housing and then became Vice President of Affordable Housing. Ms. Dixon holds two Bachelor of Science Degrees, one in Management and the other in Administration from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Dixon has worked in the affordable housing industry for 20 years.
Bret Bridgewater, Vice President of Building Services and Safety

Bret Bridgewater, Vice President of Building Services and Safety, began with Volunteers of America July 2013. Mr. Bridgewater is retired from the US Air Force where he served as a civilian employee. Mr. Bridgewater is also a Veteran of the US Air Force. He has a broad background in every aspect of building operations. In addition to years of experience he has a Master's in Business Administration degree as well as AA degrees is Construction Technology and Education and Training.
