Description

Besides enriching the community through our programs and music, the chorale aims to have a community-based project for most of our concerts. We have collected funds for Children's Hospital, and have had food drives for Metro Caring, Catholic Charities and the Basilica's Pantry for the homeless. We have donated a portion of ticket sales to programs such as Family Promise and Samaritan House. We sing for
disadvantaged folks at Jackson Hole Restaurant on Thanksgiving and at Sunshine House on Christmas Day. And we have entertained clients of the Haven and Pier One drug programs.

Monsignor Lorenzo Perosi, Kappelmeister at St. Mark's in Venice and Maestro della Cappella at the Sistine Chapel was a prominent composer of sacred music in the 19th and 20th centuries, yet is little known today. In our 2018 Masterworks performance, the Colorado Chorale performs his music. Our own Maestro Kevin Padworski illuminates the work with a pre-concert lecture.

Adults
Children (4-12 years)
Families
Teachers

Description

We encourage youth to be lifelong singers by inviting students from elementary through high school to perform with us at select concerts. For some, this is the first time to sing with an orchestra and a large choral group. Students get the experience of singing with seasoned choristers who have a passion for choral music.

In 2019, we will partner with high school choirs from Adams County in a High School Choral Festival.

We make free tickets available through ArtReach, and youth under the age of 21 attend our concerts for free.

Our Music for Life program is building Denver's cultural community by inspiring a new generation of singers.
